Our beach cabin is a scrub and organized place. This is fundamental to me being able to be a kind and productive human being. I absolutely hate any kind of dirtiness, and I opt to keep my house as clean as possible. So, I take the lead in making sure our beach house is kept up. Now, we aren’t crazy germaphobes or anything care about that. However, our floor gets mopped at least once a week whether it needs it or not. I make sure the Heating and A/C is running respectfully in the warm season time so the mold and mildew don’t have the opportunity to grow. The garage is organized and all the bathrooms are supplier ready at all times. So, when I found some mice droppings in the middle of one of the guest rooms, I almost lost it. First, I couldn’t figure out where the mice were. I have 1 cat who lives inside and would shred any mouse that tried to live here. It happened again and it finally dawned on me. The mice droppings were falling from the heating and a/c vent in the ceiling. This could be bad. I called an exterminator and got the mice problem eliminated. However, he told me they got in our ducts in the attic. We sealed the entire attic to be sure no more mice got in. However, we had to do something about the air ducts. I called a supplier who only cleans air ducts and had them come out. They did a good job of cleaning the entire duct system. They also resealed all the air duct joints. I couldn’t believe what a difference it made in our home. I love the changes it made to my home, and I will start getting my ducts cleaned more often now.
