I also prefer that the shop space makes my hobby look more professional
Part time I make custom furniture. I do a lot of handmade pieces totally out of wood. When I lived by myself I had my own work shack that I kept my stuff, wood, stain and building plans. After my best friend and I roomed together, both of us moved to a new area. Our current new home is way bigger, better however has no shed in the backyard. There is genuinely no place for me to do my custom furniture crafts. I have thought about building a shack and making that my workspace but it is so much time, effort and money. I did find online that there are shop spaces for rent in my Northland area. I can rent out a workspace and keep all my tools in there. My wood, stains and finished items can all be stored in my rental space. The shop space is also unquestionably nearby my house. Anytime I would want to work I could absolutely jog over. I prefer the layout of the shop space as well. It is way bigger than what I was working with before and it has a/c. Being able to work with A/C pouring on me will be a game changer. I also prefer that the shop space makes my hobby look more professional. Before I had people coming into my backyard and checking out at the finished pieces in my grass. With a professional shop space, I seem a real corporation rather than a woman who loves working with wood.
