Low temperature works to my advantage, saves money

I’ve never been a position in which I was able to even dream about living in a real house as an adult… I’ve been scraping by, making enough money to pay off my student loans and barely supporting myself since I moved out of my mom’s house, and there were no options for me beyond cheap condo rentals, and that’s why it’s been such a current experience to learn about Heating, Ventilation and A/C units in the first house I’ve ever called my own.

  • I got lucky, and my hubby and I were able to find a apartment within our budget recently; Everything seemed to be up to code, except my friend and I realized that the Heating, Ventilation and A/C component was getting pretty ancient and would need repair soon… As such, we’ve been trying to save up our money for the pending heating and cooling overhaul, and in the meantime my friend and I have been trying to use our heating and cooling devices as little as possible; We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have a house with multiple levels, therefore providing a vast array of uneven temperatures naturally, without Heating, Ventilation and A/C intervention of any sort.

We’ve been trying to capitalize on this characteristic by spending as much time in the lower level of the house as possible, and it’s working out well on all fronts. Instead of using our AC, my friend and I simply camp out in the basement and enjoy the inherently cooler air uneven temperatures that it provides, saving us wear and tear on our cooling component and utility bills each month. We’ll have money for that current Heating, Ventilation and A/C in no time at all!
