Hanging air fresheners in the vents

There are times when I think that my boyfriend might actually be trying to send me to the nut house.

I know that we really love each other and we have a very amicable relationship with lots of laughter and entertainment…

But I also think that he sometimes tries to entertain himself at my own expense. This is obvious when he takes my words extremely literally and creates major problems for both of us to contend with. Such as the other day when I began complaining about the indoor air quality and the horrible smells that were circulating in our house. I knew that it had been about five years since our last professional heating, cooling, and air quality control appointment. And at that point we were having the central HVAC devices installed in the house. Since renovating our indoor air handling devices I don’t think we’ve had a single professional maintenance or diagnostic appointment with the heating, cooling, and ventilation dealership down the street. I know this isn’t good for our indoor air temperature control system or our air quality. However, clearly I should not have voiced my concerns about the subpar indoor air to my boyfriend. When I said we could use some fresher indoor air and I wanted a professional HVAC appointment to make sure all of our expensive treated air was perfectly managed as it passed through the ductwork, I didn’t foresee my boyfriend’s smartass solution. He hung little pine tree air fresheners in front of every air vent, smiled with self-satisfaction, and called it a day.
