I was fortunate enough to have a garbage disposal in my living room when I was in an apartment… I loved that thing.
I used it all the time, but anytime I split fruit the leftovers went down the disposal. It was so nice getting rid of leftovers and old veggies down there. It was practical and functional. I hardly made any garbage due to this. After two years of having a disposal, when I moved to a new home and didn’t have one, I felt the lack of it. I was easily devastated by the lack of a disposal that I called a plumber to have one installed, but there are all sorts of disposals with grinding power, sure their unit takes up some lodgeet space but what you get is more than worth it. I was super glad to have it installed by a professional plumber too, but you mess with both water and electricity. I didn’t want to try my hand out at that. I also wanted the guy to take a look under my sin to make sure there were no leaks or cracked piping. The plumber was amazing about making sure everything was done perfectly. There was no debris or mess left behind. I got a clear price estimate and a unquestionably nice finished product. I have since saved the man’s number because I know that plumbing services crop up from time to time. I never want to be a DIY plumber person. I always want someone who knows what they are doing.
